Hello, world.

So what’s been up?

It’s probably been an year since I wrote a blog post. After being regular with my neuroscience study update I lost my track and gave up on the idea of “somewhat mastering” a subject that is as vast as this universe.

So, what are the new updates?

After losing my dedication towards writing, I decided to divert my energy and write a couple of research papers. I was able to team up with two of my friends from college and was able to successfully write bioinformatics based research papers and we have been successfully able to lose our motivation towards getting them published. To witness the shear number of rejections from various research journals has been quite a humbling (not to forget, annoying, demotivating and mind numbing) experience.

Apart from that, I started my journey of applying in various universities for my masters degree, and got an acceptance from University of Bristol for the program- MSc Molecular Neuroscience. That has been one good thing amongst the chaos. So now, with this program I can actually somewhat master the subject (I was dying to make this joke, I feel so good right now!)

I was able to grab an internship opportunity at a drug-discovery organization in Delhi-NCR wherein I realized that the degree I have obtained is an absolute joke and the Indian Education System is a mockery (proved again). The things that I was able to learn in this organization was beyond my imagination and I would definitely like to thank my mentor for helping me out in each and every step of the way (cheesy)

So, I am not trying to justify my behavior of lack of consistency my citing my experiences above (ya right..) but, it does help in making me realize that I have come a long way.

So what next?

Honestly speaking, I am so bad at maintaining consistency that keeping or writing a promise on a blog post scares me. I would rather put out irregular posts like this instead of committing to write periodic posts about any specific topic.

So, here’s to irregularity!!!
